Corrado Passera is Managing Director and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo since January 2007.  From May 2002 to December 2006 he was Managing Director and CEO of Banca Intesa.

For the previous four years he was appointed Managing Director and CEO of Poste Italiane.

Prior to that, he was Managing Director and CEO of Banco Ambrosiano Veneto (1996-1998), Co-CEO of Olivetti (1992-1996), Deputy Chairman and CEO of Gruppo Espresso-Repubblica (1991-1992), Chief Operating Officer of Arnoldo Mondadori Editore (1990-1991).  From 1988 to 1990 he was also Chief Operating Officer of CIR.  From 1980 to 1985, he worked for McKinsey & Co.

He also has several positions in national and international organizations (Bocconi University, Scuola Normale of Pisa, Fondazione Cini of Venice, Teatro alla Scala Foundation, EMEA Board for the Wharton School and, International Business Council of the World Economic Forum).

Corrado Passera was born in Como in 1954 and obtained a first-class honours degree in Business Administration from the Bocconi University in Milan (1977). He also obtained a Master in Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1980).
