Richard Marston is the James R.F. Guy Professor of Finance at Wharton, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1977.  He also holds a secondary appointment as a Professor of Economics in the School of Arts and Sciences.  He is director of the Weiss Center for International Financial Research, the world’s first research center devoted exclusively to an understanding of international finance.

His current research involves international investments, international asset pricing and exchange rate exposure of firms.

Beyond Wharton, he has served as a Research Associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research since 1979.  He also sits on the editorial board of the Journal of International Money and Finance. 

He is the author and editor of numerous articles and several books, including International Financial Integration: A Study of Interest Differentials between the Major Industrial Countries and The Misalignment of Exchange Rates.

He holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
