Welcome from the Chairman

Dear Wharton Alumni and Friends,

As the Organizing Committee Chairman, I am pleased to welcome you to Madrid for the annual Wharton Global Alumni Forum.  This year’s Forum is particularly significant, as we combine our efforts with the School’s alumni and friends in Latin America, producing the 13th annual Global Alumni Forum held in the Europe, Africa and the Middle East region.  I hope you will be able to join us on June 24-25, 2010 for a renowned gathering of leading business thinkers and innovators.

All meetings will take place at the Meliá Castilla, located in the heart of Madrid, which will provide a wonderful setting for our conference and a gateway into the culture and lively surroundings of the region.

The theme of this year’s Forum, “A Whole New World: Where Do We Go From Here?,” will focus on the nature of today’s ever-evolving financial climate, examining fresh opportunities for growth and the emergence of exciting economies and business ideas from around the world.  As past Global Alumni Forums have proven, shared personal insights and financial perspectives among participants are key to the program’s success—lending a unique exchange of thought leadership to all who attend.  The Forum’s social activities also offer great networking opportunities and conversation for Wharton’s international alumni and circle of friends.

The Global Alumni Forum in Madrid will unite the School’s efforts to impact the world through sound, experiential leadership.  I hope you will join us in June and look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Sebastian Escarrer WG93
